I read Hyperion this year after seeing it on almost every top-10 sci-fi book list out there. I had high expectations, and it was a fantastic read... until the end. Possibly THE worst ending of any book I have ever read. Did the author just run out of ideas? [spoiler alert] "they all skipped off to their deaths humming to the tune from the Wizard of Oz" ??? C'mon!!!
